Dates

Background
We work with established conservation projects on the North and South Island. Our partners will give you a good understanding of wildlife and conservation management and look after you with regards all aspects of your time with them.

Accommodation
Is included in exchange for work. This is your own bed in either your own room or a shared dorm with shared facilities such as bathrooms and cooking facilities.

Internet
Is available at all our volunteer projects

Application Process

1. Fill out the application Form
2. Book a call with us to talk about the project in detail
3. Pick your dates and number of projects
4. We send the application link
5. Pay the programme deposit of NZ$500.00 (fully refundable less a $100 admin fee if you are not accepted for any reason by the volunteer project)
6. We send details of projects and set up calls with the volunteer supervisors
7. We send confirmation paperwork with all the details.
8. Pay the progarmme fee (less deposit)

Animal Care
Assisting wildlife rehabilitation 

Type of Organisation: Wildlife care in a rehabilation centre 
Location: North Island
Type of work: Assistant wildlife rehabilitation, holding birds for treatments, bird husbandry, cleaning, data entry for medical records.​​
Hours: ​8 hours for 5 days/week
What will you learn: Wildlife rehabilitation, conservation
Sustainable living and what we can do to protect the natural world.
​Accommodation: Free accommodaiton in a private room
​
​Requirements: ​​

• ​Minimum 21 Years old
• ​Physically Fit
• Be able to get a working holiday visa (See Immigration NZ Website)
• Have an interest in animal care

Conservation Management
Habitat Restoration and Conservation

Type of Organisation: ​Nature Reserve
Location: South Island
​Type of work:  Painting, digging, pest control, cleaning, planting, gardening, guiding
Hours: 6 hours for 5 days/week
What will you learn: Habitat restoration and conservation​, teamwork, sustainability
​Accommodation: Free accommodation in a shared room
​
Requirements: ​​

• Minimum 20 Years old
• ​Physically Fit​
• Be able to get a working holiday visa  (See Immigration NZ Website)
• Have an interest in conservation
