INTERNSHIPS IN WELLINGTON
Wellington is not only New Zealand’s capital city but also the home to Intern NZ and Intern OZ. Located at the south-western tip of the North Island, Wellington is often referred to as the cultural capital, despite its population being smaller than Auckland’s. The compact city, with its sandy beaches and beautiful waterfront promenade, is infamous for its craft beer, delicious wine and general coffee culture.
You will never get bored in this city and you will certainly never go hungry! With areas of natural beauty, such as the botanic gardens and the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary, also known Zealandia, along with the multitude of galleries and museums, such as the infamous Te Papa, there is no doubt that you will have endless things to do, rain or shine.
And as for the food, you’re in for a treat. Wellington is said to have more bars and restaurants per capita than New York, catering for everything from a quick grab and go lunch, to a candlelit dinner of fresh fish on the seafront, Wellington has it all.
Our internship in Wellington includes Support Services that will help you settle into your internship experience in Australia or New Zealand.

Before the beginning of this internship, my global view of the civil engineering background was quite unclear, especially because I hadn’t followed structural engineering courses yet....Living abroad for 4 months and being confronted to the necessity of quick adaptation has taken me to another next step, which made me more mature and self-sufficient. Likewise, I have been able to do some amazing trips, which I may rarely have another opportunity to experience...I have enjoyed a considerable autonomy, both in time scheduling and in the planning of my work. What I particularly appreciated in the job of consulting engineer was the large diversity of work to accomplish: one never works twice on a similar project, thus the routine doesn’t settle even after several years in the same position....Throughout the internship, I have learned a new method of work, with a different logic and another way of thinking. The landscapes make you think you are in paradise, however the only thing that I won't miss when back to France is the Vegemite (or Marmite or everything which ends with "mite" !!!) Eventually, this journey was really rewarding and the time flew.

The Kiwi people are so friendly and welcoming--I was utterly charmed by how nicely they treated me and how willing they were to help me find my way around New Zealand living. Wellington is a beautiful city with a warm, homey atmosphere, and the surrounding environment is absolutely gorgeous. My workplace emphasized worker satisfaction and well being just as much as it emphasized client satisfaction and well being. The office was bright and welcoming with several motivational sayings written across the walls, and my coworkers were all exceptionally friendly and helpful to me. They really went out of their way to make me feel like I was part of the team.

I reckon your service is quite good: fast response on mails, trying to reach satisfaction of the interns etc. All in all, my overseas experience has been a marvelous time in my life and I've been enjoying every single minute. I've learned plenty of useful things I definitely need in my life and had been missed during my school days, where I used to live with my parents. I've met lovely kiwi people and discovered a totally different way of life. The term "work life balance" has got a new definition in my brain which will definitely influence my personal development. But that is not all: I've traveled throughout the probably most beautiful country in the world, met lots of new people with different characters and made friends from all over the world.

I wanted to have a practical working experience in my field of study while also having the opportunity to live, work, and travel in one of the most beautiful places in the world and experience a new culture. My entire experience in New Zealand was incredible. Building positive professional and personal relationships at work and within the community as well as having my own valuable projects at my internship was something I very much valued. Traveling the South Island on a week long holiday at the end of my stay in New Zealand was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

As part of my study, my university requires me to work in a technical company for a certain period of time. It is also fun to do, because now you're using the things you learned to actually design and build something. I'm a student of Mechanical Engineering. This means I have to do an internship in a company with a technical background. New Zealand is a beautiful place to be. The people are very friendly and relaxed. It's a very safe and fun place to be. Not to forget there are a lot of beautiful/fun things you can do in your weekends/vacation...The service from Intern NZ is great. They help you with any questions you might have and even stay in contact/help you when you're are in New Zealand. Therefore I would certainly recommend Intern NZ for anyone who wants to do an internship in New Zealand or Australia.
