INTERNSHIPS IN AUCKLAND
Auckland is New Zealand’s most populous urban area in the country; with a population of 1,495,000 inhabitants, Auckland hosts 32% of New Zealand’s whole population! With its legendary SkyTower, Auckland has all the assets of a modern city, and is bold and fashionable with a twist of South Pacific originality. The fact that the city was ranked 3rd on the world’s list for the Mercer Quality of Living Survey in 2014, 8th on the Economist Intelligence Unit’s ‘World’s Most Livable Cities’ (2016), as well as the central business district being the major financial centre of New Zealand, just demonstrates the diversity of the city and the endless opportunities for work and play.

My name is Glenn Bolan. I studied at DeVry University in California, USA. My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems with a concentration in Systems Analysis and Integration. I decided to use Intern NZ for two primary reasons:
- 1) They were very flexible. The other internship agencies that I had spoken to weren't as willing to work with me to find exactly what I was looking for. For example, because of University study I was unable to do a full-time internship and Intern NZ was able to accommodate this need.
- 2) The cost of their service was very competitive! In terms of service delivered, Bob at Intern NZ sourced the internship for me quickly. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the whole process. My internship as a Business Analyst at a Web design and development company has proven to be a very good opportunity. I have learnt a lot of very valuable information and received a good taste of real-world BA work, liaising with stakeholders, managing change, and the like. It will prove to be very powerful and valuable on my CV and in my life as I move forward in my career progression.

My experience was great. I was able to be part of the staff, i was involve in many events, i made proposals for the game nights and they listen to me. The internship allowed me to interact with the kiwi culture of working and also meet very nice people. I was very lucky to interact as well with sponsors and many different activities throughout my staying there. I became part of their family and they help me a lot with my internship and also personal growing.

I would recommend this country to anyone, it's been the greatest time I've ever had. I've met some great people at work and outside, I've learned a lot regarding advertising and have been really passionate about the projects I was given the opportunity to work on. I've found that people think and behave differently than back in Europe. People are more chilled, the work ethic is different, more relaxed in general, and the team spirit seems to be stronger here. New Zealand is truly a great country and deserves to be visited.

I am really lucky that you guys scored me such a good company. I was thrown straight into the job the day I got here and have loved every minute of it and learn tonnes!! I am assisting with three separate events at the moment, and because of that I am getting to travel to 16 different places around NZ over the next few months for work. My company is very supportive, reward hard work and have this great laid back vibe in the office so I feel like I have settled in very well! I have made some amazing friends here between work, stay and just through meeting people, so we are all planning trips together and have gone to check out some great festivals and attractions around Auckland so far. I may never want to leave :)
