Bob Alagh (Director)

​Kia Ora and G'Day! I've been working in the education and internship field for 20 years. It all started in London in 1999 placing North American students in London organisations for academic internships. I moved to New Zealand in 2003 and worked in the International Office at a University before getting back into the world of internships and once again placing North American University students into New Zealand and Australian Organisations. Intern NZ and Intern OZ is based in the thriving, creative capital of New Zealand; Wellington. Wellington is a compact city that offers all that a city offers, plus all that nature offers, so I make the most of it! I enjoy fishing, playing cricket, cycling, and walking or tramping as it's called here.

Theresa Hassett (Partner Relations Manager) 

​Hi, I'm Theresa and I am from Ireland! I have been very lucky in having the chance to travel the world and explore many countries and cultures. These include America, Europe, Australia and parts of Asia, with lots more to explore.  I love to travel and meet new people. My favorite part is immersing myself in new cultures and learning about the history of different countries. I now have been living in New Zealand for over 8 years.  I love living in New Zealand, it has the most beautiful scenery and the people are just wonderful.  Before the life of Intern NZ & Intern OZ,  I was an early childhood teacher working with children aged three months to five years. I really enjoy working at Intern NZ & Intern OZ and work with the best team. Meeting new people and helping them achieve their dreams is what makes my day.

Melanie Murray (Pastoral Care and Accommodation Manager)
After five years of traveling the world, I returned to New Zealand, where my partner and I have raised our two children.
My journeys took me to Brisbane, London, and throughout Europe and Asia, giving me the chance to experience diverse cultures and meet remarkable people.
When the role at Intern NZ came up, I was excited to take it on, as it allows me to keep pursuing my passion for connecting with people from different places and welcoming them to my homeland.
In my free time, I enjoy being with my family, e-biking through the beautiful cycle trails in Wellington and the Kapiti Coast, hiking in the bush, and learning to play the guitar.
New Zealand’s natural beauty truly enhances these experiences, and I’m grateful to call this country home.
