Event Management Internship Australia

Event Management in Australia is an extremely popular internship. The role description for one of the previous interns doing an Event Management Internship was as follows:
  • Assist in the organisation of the V8 Scratchies sellers – i.e. booking of accommodation, flights, car hire, couriers, attending V8 events throughout the internship period, a chance to travel around Australia and work on car racing events.
  • Assist the event manager, source fundraising items/experiences and goodie bag items for all events, maintain prize/stock inventory for both the accounts department and events department, manage the storage of items, assist the event manager with the preparation of event materials, including event summaries, photographs and artwork.
  • Work with the Event Manager on seating plans, prepare all forms for events (including raffle, silent auction, wish list and live auction), assist with themes and decoration, field calls and enquiries regarding events, and customer service for event related enquiries,
  • Administration of all events: mail merge and generation of letters, proposals and mail outs, attend all events, maintenance of hard copy event files for companies approached, development and maintenance of an electronic system that can be accessed by all relevant people, coordination of smaller corporate events and non fundraising events, pro activity, reliability, punctuality and attention to detail, strong MS skills including power point, word and excel.
