Sponsored Internship Programme (SIP)
New Zealand Only
As a small business we do typically need to charge for our services. However, at some point it's time to give back....
If you are planning an internship in these areas (excluding psychology placements) and you are legally allowed to work in New Zealand, you may be eligible for our sponsored internship programme in New Zealand.
We will arrange your internship at no cost, and assist with any other aspects of our programmes if requested; such as housing, orientations, events, peer support networks etc.
You are still required to pay for your housing costs, but we can pass on any discounts we get to you if our preferred accommodation provider has a vacancy. If not, you will be required to source your own housing.
Areas covered under the SIP:
Drug and Alcohol addiction programmes
Elderly Care Services
Mental Health Services
Special Needs Education
Youth at Risk Programmes
All Internships are UNPAID
Please note that as part of this programme we do not arrange internships that have requirements to work with psychologists or have onerous academic requirements, however, you may still be eligible as part of the fee paying programme.
Requirements
We do need you to commit to a period of at least 12 weeks in a full time capacity. Sometimes a longer period may be necessary if you are going into a role which involves extensive client relationship building.
You must be a current tertiary student
Prior to the internship you must provide a recent police check
To provide feedback at the end of the internship
